UCD Mountaineering Club

Another jaunt around some spectacular location in Wicklow! Lead by the ladies favorite Jonathan Redmond. Where in Wicklow will we go? He decides! As always bus leaves Earlsfort Terrace at 10.00 am and Montrose at 10.15 am. If in doubt about what to bring please read the equipment list. Keep it simple, food and clothes to keep you warm and dry. Please remember no jeans and if you don't have hiking/ trail shoes or boots you will not be allowed on the bus!

This weeks hike will go from along the military road to the Wicklow gap or even glendalough! Fun in the bog guaranteed for all!

Tues 13th, 17:00 at the wall is the date, time and place for this years comp and it's going to be unreal. Routes set by the amazing committee for your fun and frustration! We'll also have the nice folks from The Great Outdoors down giving our freshers a nice deal on some new shoes or harnesses, whatever you need to get started!

Djouce via the lovely powerscourt waterfall! Bring food. Check the equipment lists if you don't know what to bring. If you show up in jeans and/ or runners you will be left at the bus stop. No exceptions.

Thats right we're heading to Declan's most probable favourite place on earth the Mourne Mountains. If he asks you to do the Mourne Wall with him do so at your own peril! There will be hiking and climbing (if its dry) in one of the most spectacular locations in Ireland! We'll be staying with the kind folks from QUB in their cosy hut. Again sleeping bags will be the order of the day. You will need food for the whole weekend and suitable clothes. This trip will cost 40e. Anyone will inappropriate gear will not be allowed come. Please read the gear lists and remember it gets a little colder at this time of year so warm clothes are good, t-shirt and shorts bad! Sign up will be the week before at the wall usual times.

The first Irish Bouldering League round of the year. It takes place in DCU. Always a fun event, the league caters for all levels be you a beginner or well seasoned expert! Get down to the event, meet other climbers and complain about sore limbs or whatever else you boulderers do!
