UCD Mountaineering Club

The first weekend out after the long summer so we'll be starting off slow! We'll be going for a nice stroll around the beautiful Glendalough. Runners will be accepted for this one hike and beginners weekend ONLY. Any people in jeans may be REFUSED at the bus. If in doubt about what to bring read our gear list. Bus pickup locations here. The bus will leave from Earlsfort terrace at 10.00am and Jurys Montrose at 10.15am. 20/09/2009. Please remember to bring 8 euro for the bus! Most importantly come along make new friends and have fun!

The accomodation for the weekend will be the luxorious IMC hut so BRING SLEEPING BAGS. Failing this find yourself a committee member with one, ply them with alcohol and you'll be sorted for sleeping arrangements! Don't forget to bring alcohol and food! You'll need breakfast and lunch for sat and sun, dinner for sat and also fri night if you don't have time before the bus! Lots of fun and excitement for just €20! Sign up is at the wall Tues 22nd 5-7 and Thurs 24th 5-7 or in the bar after. If you cannot make either of our wall sessions please send us an e-mail! Another jaunt around some spectacular location in Wicklow! Lead by the ladies favorite Jonathan Redmond. Where in Wicklow will we go? He decides! As always bus leaves Earlsfort Terrace at 10.00 am and Montrose at 10.15 am. If in doubt about what to bring please read the equipment list. Keep it simple, food and clothes to keep you warm and dry. Please remember no jeans and if you don't have hiking/ trail shoes or boots you will not be allowed on the bus!

This weeks hike will go from along the military road to the Wicklow gap or even glendalough! Fun in the bog guaranteed for all!

Tues 13th, 17:00 at the wall is the date, time and place for this years comp and it's going to be unreal. Routes set by the amazing committee for your fun and frustration! We'll also have the nice folks from The Great Outdoors down giving our freshers a nice deal on some new shoes or harnesses, whatever you need to get started!

Djouce via the lovely powerscourt waterfall! Bring food. Check the equipment lists if you don't know what to bring. If you show up in jeans and/ or runners you will be left at the bus stop. No exceptions.
