Note: This hike is long, strenuous and will finish in darkness. You must have the correct equipment for hiking in cold weather. Please read the equipment section if you're unsure about what to bring: Equipment List Please make sure you have a torch and a spare layer as well as your normal gear.

Lugnacoille, the highest mountain in the Wicklow range and the highest in Leinster will be attempted by the club on this date. Standing tall, at a lofty 925m above sea level, rumour has it that on a clear day you can see Mont Blanc from the summit. Lugnacoille is the quintessential Wicklow mountain; flat, boggy and old. The hike will border the Glen of Imaal Artillery range, that's for information purposes by the way, (you can leave the helmets at home). Anyway we'll be making the classic UCD maneuver; start at Fraughan Rock Glen and end in Fenton's, that's a pub - see where we're going with this ... ?
